Diagnosis and Prevention
Digestive Health Specialists employs the latest techniques and technology that can help identify a problem or prevent a problem from arising, such as removing a pre-cancerous polyp during a colonoscopy to help prevent colon cancer. Through techniques such as an upper endoscopy, we can determine the cause of many digestive symptoms, including swallowing difficulties, nausea, vomiting, reflux, bleeding, indigestion, abdominal or chest pain.
Endoscopy, colonoscopy and other procedures performed at Digestive Health Specialists are administered by dedicated gastroenterologists who have your health, safety and comfort in mind. We strive to make these live-saving procedures available to everyone and they can be performed at our locations in Tacoma, Auburn, Covington, Gig Harbor and Puyallup.
You can learn more about upper endoscopy, colonoscopy and are other diagnostic procedures here. Another part of prevention is maintaining good digestive health habits. Read our blog for information on maintaining digestive health and other topics.
