Dr. Walter "Mark" Hassig received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He received his Medical Doctorate from Michigan State University in East Lansing. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Blodgett Medical Center/Saint Mary's Hospital/Michigan State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan and his Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Hassig is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is an active member of the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, and the Pierce County Medical Society. He is Medical Section Chief at St. Francis Hospital and Chairman of the Pharmacy Committee of the Franciscan Health System. Dr. Hassig enjoys spending time with his three sons, skiing, golf, bowling, and swimming.
